Wilson family expands with acquisition of Performance Engineering
Wilson Combat has announced that its sister company, Lehigh Defense LLC, has acquired the assets of Performance Engineering, a long-established firearm component manufacturer based in Hillsboro, Missouri. The acquisition marks a significant expansion for the Wilson family of companies and brings a respected name under the Lehigh Defense umbrella.
Performance Engineering has been a trusted supplier of 1911 and AR-15 components for more than 40 years, with Wilson Combat sourcing parts from the company for over three decades. Following the retirement of owners Darla and Russ Narzinski, the company’s operations have now been fully integrated into Lehigh Defense’s manufacturing facility in Clarksville, Texas.
According to Lehigh Defense, customers will see no significant changes other than an updated address. Product quality standards, SKU numbers and pricing will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for existing clients.
Lehigh Defense also announced plans to reintroduce several discontinued Performance Engineering components in response to customer demand. New products are expected to be added to the range in the near future, further enhancing the company’s ability to support OEM and aftermarket firearm component needs.
The Clarksville-based operation includes a state-of-the-art Swiss screw machine facility, with 21 single-spindle and one multi-spindle machine, allowing for efficient and precise production of high-quality parts.
The company is actively inviting enquiries for Swiss screw machine-compatible components, signalling an increased focus on OEM supply and manufacturing capacity.
