Cadre Holdings to acquire TYR Tactical

Cadre Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CDRE), the parent company of Safariland®, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire TYR Tactical, a leading global manufacturer of tactical gear and protective equipment for military and law enforcement.

Founded in 2010 by Jason and Jane Beck, TYR Tactical is based in Peoria, Arizona, and produces mission-critical protective systems including plate carriers, vests, armor plates, shields and tactical accessories. The company supplies elite military and government agencies worldwide, earning a reputation for innovation and high-performance design.

According to Brad Williams, President of Cadre, “TYR Tactical and Safariland are two of the most recognizable brands in their respective customer bases, each with distinct strengths and minimal customer overlap. This strategic alignment allows both brands to operate collaboratively in the market while maintaining their unique identities and customer relationships.”

The acquisition will strengthen Cadre’s public safety portfolio by integrating TYR Tactical’s advanced engineering and proprietary manufacturing technologies, including autoclave processes for next-generation plates and shields. TYR’s patented female body armor, designed for enhanced comfort and ergonomics, will also complement Safariland’s product range.

Jason Beck, CEO of TYR Tactical, said, “We share with Cadre a long-standing commitment to innovation, quality and a life-saving mission. We are excited to partner with the Cadre team and look forward to working together to enhance our ability to serve those who protect us every day.”

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
