SSAA Queensland offers funding to advance the shooting sports

The initiative, launched under the Australian Institute of Legislative Action (AILA) and the Australian Shooters Alliance (ASA)—both owned by SSAA Queensland—aims to support individuals and projects that contribute to a better understanding of disciplines connected to shooting, conservation, and responsible firearm use.

Grants of up to AUD 2,000 are available to support endeavors across a wide range of areas, including biodiversity, criminology, conservation, ecology, engineering, firearm manufacturing, game movements and habits, land management, media bias, statistics, sports training, and various trades such as gunsmithing, knifemaking, and toolmaking. Funding is also available for projects in veterinary science and related fields.

The program is open to students at all levels of education as well as to individuals pursuing private, relevant studies or projects. Preference will be given to SSAA Queensland members and their families.

Applications are reviewed by a panel and may be submitted once every 12 months.
